In May 2022, the ChromaDose Project was presented by public and patient involvement lead Lisa Pfaffenrath at the Child Health Technology Conference, a 2-day online conference by the NIHR Children and Young People MedTech cooperative.
The online presentation had the title: PPI driven development of novel devices and protocols for therapeutic drug monitoring in paediatric oncology and was based on a 6-minute pre-recorded video.
As the title suggests, the focus of the presentation was on our puplic and patient involvement and engagement work, which is a core element of the project with the aim to provide feedback and advice on product development, sampling protocols and information materials.
In the presentation, Lisa introduced the various stakeholder groups including Young Persons Advisory Groups (YPAGs) at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and North England (NE), the Parent and Carer Advisory Group at GOSH and the Paediatric Oncology Reference Team (PORT) as well as our methods and the results we obtained so far.
The 2 days were a fantastic opportunity for ChromaDose to get an insight look in similar technologies and the PPI work behind the scenes. We hope there will be many more to come!
The ChromaDose Project was also part of the poster session of the conference, which can be obtained via this link.
